Pacific Grove Adult Education
Pacific Grove Adult School offers a wide variety of courses to choose from. There is truly something for everyone! The Program Departments are listed below, along with a brief description of each.
Parent's Place provides a weekly 2 hour class that a parent/caregiver and child attend together. Each class is designed for children in a specific age range, allowing for play and discussion suitable for that developmental stage. We also offer a parent participation preschool program for children 3 years old to Kindergarten entry.
High School Diploma & HiSet
High school diploma and equivalency (HiSet), credit recovery and online classes are offered in a friendly and supportive environment. Students are able to work at their own pace, attending at our site or working from anywhere using our distance learning option. Equivalency preparation materials are offered in English and Spanish.
Active Older Adult
Students of all ages welcome. You may register and begin class at any time throughout the session. PGUSD residents receive a $5 discount when you register in person or by phone. Discount not available for online registration.
English as a
English language classes include speaking, listening, reading, writing, job searching skills, preparing for college and other skills for living in American culture. You can register and begin class at anytime. Minimum attendance required.
Career Tech Ed
Choose from one of our many Career Training classes. Learn how to use Mac/PC, iPad/iPhone and get started in the world of Social Media. We also offer dual enrollment classes with MPC for college credits.
Looking for a new fitness option? Choose from Yoga, Zumba, Qigong, Ballet, Line Dancing or Belly Dancing to name a few. Maybe Spanish or French classes are on your bucket list? We have beginning and advanced classes for both languages. Try one of our many art classes such as Painting, Watercolor, Colored Pencil or Mixed Media. This is a Construction Trade Pre-Apprenticeship preparation course, utilizing the Building Trades Multi-Craft Core Curriculum (MC3). This is a workforce training program that prepares you for entry into a Building Trade Apprenticeship. This course requires a 144-hour commitment. To apply, go to http://www.apprenticeprep.org/
