Our Parent Education programs at the Pacific Grove Adult Education Center were designed with one goal in mind: to help parents help their children succeed. Our two distinctive parent education programs - the pre-school Co-op and Parent's Place - not only provide appropriate developmental experiences for children but emphasize effective teaching and parenting skills to assist and improve their children's academic success. This is largely attained through parent cooperation within the classrooms, reinforcing time-tested parenting techniques and best educational practices.

Co-op Preschool Program
1025 Lighthouse Ave
Pacific Grove, CA, 93950
The Pacific Grove Adult Education Co-op Preschool Program is a parent participation preschool for children ages three years through kindergarten entry. Our program is designed to create an environment that provides optimum opportunity for growth. Physical, emotional and social skills are developed through developmentally appropriate activities in art, music, science and play. Emphasis is on the development of the whole child.
It is our goal to acknowledge each child where he or she is upon entering preschool and taking them as far as they can go. It is also paramount that children leave our preschool feeling confident, capable and knowing that school is a nice place to be - a place where they will be safe, valued and successful.
Our preschool classes are located on Pine Avenue and the Pacific Grove Adult Education Campus. We offer a morning and afternoon class for our Pine Avenue classroom and morning classes for our Dual Language (Spanish) and Lighthouse classrooms which are located on the PGAE campus on Lighthouse Avenue.
